Greetings from the vast and captivating Big Bend region! I'm your Chief Adventure Guide, Tom Osborn, and like many who venture here, this land has a hold on my soul. My connection to Big Bend runs deep – my grandfather, a true pioneer, helped shape the very landscape you'll explore. As a card-carrying member of the Civilian Conservation Corps, he built trails and bridges and planted numerous trees in Big Bend National Park. Perhaps some of the very stones you'll walk upon were laid by his hand!
This landscape snagged my heart early on, and after a detour that included eight years keeping the peace in the Marine Corps and another decade wrangling… well, let's just say other types of wildlife as a Federal Law Enforcement Officer, I'm back where I belong. Now, my mission is to share the awe-inspiring beauty of Big Bend with you.
My incredible wife, who also happens to be my best friend, and our two amazing daughters are my constant inspiration. My goal is simple: to provide you with an unforgettable Texas Frontier experience, one filled with wonder, discovery, and maybe a few laughs along the way. Consider me your friendly, knowledgeable, and slightly over-prepared (thanks, Marine Corps!) guide to this extraordinary corner of Texas. Let's make some memories you'll cherish forever!
