After soaking in the ghost town vibes, it's time to head over to the legendary Starlight Theatre and the Terlingua Trading Company. Whether you're looking for a bite to eat or just soaking up the lively atmosphere, this spot is all about good times and good vibes. With a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere, it’s the perfect place to recharge, chat with locals, and enjoy the unique energy of this iconic West Texas location.

Window View Trail
After a satisfying lunch, we’ll head to Big Bend National Park for a quick hike on the Window View Trail. This easy stroll takes you right to one of the park’s jaw-dropping views—the "Window" a natural rock formation perfectly framed by the towering Chisos Mountains. It’s a great spot to catch your breath, snap a few photos, and take in the epic desert and mountain scenery!

Scenic Photo Opportunities
As we make our way back to Marathon, we'll make stops along the way for those just one more photo moments. From sweeping desert vistas to close-ups of the rugged mountains, this drive is packed with postcard-worthy views you’ll remember forever.

Departure – Parking lot directly across the street from the Gage Hotel

Meet at at the parking area directly across the street from the Gage Hotel for check-in. We’ll depart promptly, so be sure to arrive on time and ready for the day ahead.

Drive to Terlingua

We’ll begin the drive south along Highway 385 to Terlingua. Enjoy the expansive desert views and rugged mountain landscapes during the drive.

Terlingua Ghost Town

We’ll arrive at Terlingua Ghost Town, where you’ll have time to explore. Walk through the remnants of the old mining town, capturing photos of the fascinating ruins, and soak in the unique atmosphere of this historic site.

The Starlight Theatre & Lunch

After exploring the Ghost Town, we’ll head to the Starlight Theatre and the Terlingua Trading Company, a popular local spot. Here, you’ll enjoy lunch in one of the local historic and charming venues. You’ll have plenty of time to relax, enjoy a delicious meal, and take in the colorful atmosphere of this iconic location.

Window View Trail

After lunch, we’ll head into Big Bend National Park for a short hike on the Window View Trail. This easy walk takes you to one of the best viewpoints in the park, offering stunning views of the "Window" — a natural rock formation framed by the Chisos Mountains.

Return to Marathon

After the hike, we’ll begin our drive back to Marathon. Along the way, we can stop for any last scenic photo opportunities, taking in the desert landscape and mountain vistas.
